Option 1 - Text (and transparent black box) scrolls over background image
This option allows the users to see more of the background image because the text scrolls over the background image as opposed to the background image scrolling with the text.

Volunteer teams and individuals from churches and associations are welcome to join us in building projects at Pinnacle. Staff will work with volunteers on dates, lodging and food options.
Option 2 - Text (and transparent black box) moves to the left side
This option allows the users to see more of the background image because the text sits on the left side of the screen instead landing in the middle of the image. Also, image is changed to something where the main subject is on the right side instead of centered.

Option 3 - Text moves to the right side and image has gray overlay
This option allows the users to see more of the background image because the text sits on the right side of the screen instead landing in the middle of the image. Also, the transparent black box is removed and a lighter gray overlay is over the image so the text is more visible and readable.
The background image is changed to something where the main subject is on the left side instead of centered.
My only resistance to this option is that full color photos look so much better which is why the transparent black box works better than covering the full photo in an overlay.
