Creating environments to encounter God,
develop disciples and impact the world for Christ.

About Us:

Pinnacle Retreat Center is located in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains of Rabun County, Georgia, and is surrounded by the beauty of lakes, mountains, and forest. As a year-round, modern, full-service facility, Pinnacle is the ideal setting for church group retreats, conferences and camps.

We are a ministry of Georgia Woman’s Missionary Union, an auxiliary to the Georgia Baptist Convention. Other non-profit groups not affiliated with Georgia WMU and Women’s Ministry are welcome to utilize the facility as long as their purpose, mission, and values do not conflict with Georgia WMU and Women’s Ministry. Management reserves the right to limit or deny use of the facility.

Our Mission:

“Creating environments to encounter God, develop disciples and impact the world for Christ.”

The Heritage of Pinnacle Retreat Center:

Pinnacle Retreat Center began as a summer camp in 1947. The ministry expanded in 1997 to a include year-round facility for Christian church group retreats and training events.

In 2003, a $10 million dollar capital campaign was adopted.  Since then, seven new buildings have been constructed.  In 2011 the historic Pinnacle Chapel was completely restored and upgrade. In 2012 the gym was upgraded and now offers a first class meeting area with stage, 175 comfortable seats and AV equipment.

Numerous other capital improvements have been made to modernize the facilities. More new buildings are also part of the master plan.  Donations to the capital campaign are ongoing.  If you would like to donate or need further information please contact us.  We are a 501c3 non profit organization.  Thank you.
